Julia Anna Guess

Julia Anna Guess, known to most as “Cricket” passed away Monday, Nov. 23, 2015 in St. Louis. She was 53

She was born Dec. 13, 1961 in Ironton, the daughter of Sherman and Retha Maude (Jones) Reed.

Cricket is survived by her father, Sherman Reed of Ironton; three children, Jeremy Pinkley of Fredericktown, Lynette Pinkley and husband Chris Hubbs of Fredericktown, and Dusty Pinkley and wife Cass of Noblesville, IN; and four step-daughters, Jessie McGowen, Shelia Guess, Theresa Lee, and Kimmy Guess.  

She is also survived by three brothers, Tony Reed and wife Diana of Ironton, Michael Reed and wife Connie of Ironton, and Ricky Reed of Arcadia; two sisters, Machele Tyndall and husband Mike of Middlebrook and Janie Laird and husband Gerald of Belleview; and 11 grandchildren, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Cricket was a 1980 graduate of Arcadia Valley High School.  She also received an Associate of Arts degree from Mineral Area College. 

Memorial services are tentatively scheduled for Sunday, Dec. 13, 2015.  Further details will be provided when finalized.  Local arrangements were entrusted to the care of Bryson Funeral Home.
