Eclipse watchers

People in The Valley - and across the nation - looked to the skies Monday to witness a total solar eclipse. From left are Sharon Parks, manager at the Pilot Knob Subway, employee Miranda Stirts, and Miranda’s mom, Angie Stirts, all wearing protective viewing glasses. The totality occurred here at 1:18 p.m.  Although a total eclipse is normally a once-in-a-lifetime event, astronomers say yet another one will be viewable in the valley in 2024.
