Marvin Conway Goehman,  Jr.

Marvin Conway Goehman,  Jr. of Arcadia passed away on Oct. 18, 2018 at his residence. He was 80.

He was born on June 15, 1938 in Jackson, a son of the late Marvin, Sr. and Helen Chapman Goehman.

On Dec. 17, 1977, he was united in marriage to Alice Lucille Mayfield, who survives.

Also surviving are three children, Tanya Busch and husband John of Austin, TX, Zane Goehman and wife Charlene of St. Louis, and Melissa Matthew and husband Todd of High Ranch, CO; a brother, Lonnie Goehman and wife Elaine of Des Arc; nine grandchildren, Wesley, Miles, Molly, Quinn, Nathaniel, Grace, Lochlan, Kelsey, and Haylee; and many nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Milton, and a sister, Delores Tanner.

Conway, as he was known, was a 1956 graduate of Bismarck High School, and graduated from the University of Missouri at Rolla. He was a  member of the First Baptist Church of Ironton, and proudly served his country in the United States Air force.

He retired from ASARCO in Glover as Plant Manager after several years of service.

Funeral services were held on Monday, October 22 at 1 p.m. from the First Baptist Church of Ironton with Rev. James Davis and Rev. Aaron Boeving officiating.

Visitation began at the Church at 11 a.m. Interment was in the Polk Cemetery.

Memorials are requested to the First Baptist Church of Ironton.
