James Leslie Pinkley

James Leslie Pinkley of Lesterville passed away on Thursday, Oct. 18, 2018 at his home in Lesterville. He was 66.

He was born in Ironton on Sept. 24, 1952, to Leslie and Betty (George) Pinkley.

James was a member of the Fellowship Baptist Church and the Lesterville Lions Club. He spent his life working as a teacher in the Lesterville School District.  He loved working with children, and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

In his free time James enjoyed hunting and spending time outdoors.

On May 19, 1973, James was united in marriage to Margie Sue Bradshaw in Lesterville. To this union two daughters were born.

Survivors include his loving wife of 45 years, Margie of Lesterville; his mother and father, Leslie and Betty Pinkley of Lesterville; two daughters, Dawnette Curl and husband Brad, and Heather Sandoval and husband Bart III all of Lebanon; five grandchildren, Alexis Curl, Callen Curl, Bart Sandoval,  IV, Christopher Sandoval and Arianna Sandoval; two sisters, Barbara Garrison and Janet Pinkley, both of Lesterville; as well as a host of other relatives and friends left to mourn his passing.

A memorial service was held on Sunday, October 21, 2018 beginning at 1 p.m. in the Fellowship Baptist Church with Pastor Dirk Myers officiating. Burial was in the Lesterville Memorial Cemetery.
