Johnny V. Daggett

Johnny V. Daggett of Piedmont, formerly of Des Arc, passed away Saturday, Oct. 27, 2018 at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center. He was 72.

He was born in Des Arc, on Aug. 27, 1946 to parents Charles Truman and Viola (James) Daggett.

Johnny attended Des Arc School until it closed, then attended Annapolis School.

He proudly served in the United States Army in Germany prior to being honorably discharged.

During his working career, he traveled around the United States working as a commercial pipefitter.

Johnny enjoyed fishing, hunting and most importantly, his family. He was a practical joker with a great sense of humor.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Missy Inman; brother:, Jerry Daggett; half-brother, Jr Steel, and half-sister, Mary Jo Dougherty.

Johnny is survived by brothers, Paul Glen “Mousy” Daggett and wife Linda of Annapolis, Dennis Daggett and wife Radona Jo of Des Arc; sisters, Jean Coleman and husband Al of Piedmont, Sandy Daggett of Des Arc; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great- nephews and many friends.

Visitation was at 5 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 30, 2018 at Ruegg Funeral Home in Piedmont. Funeral Service followed at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 31, 2018, also at the Piedmont chapel.

Pastor Howard Casteel ministered to the family.

Al Coleman, Paul Daggett, Matt Daggett, Lee Chitwood, Donnie Meyers and John Robert Martin served as pallbearers. Shaylin Montgomery provided music for the services.

Burial was at Mt. View Cemetery, Des Arc.
