Hannah Amelung of Ironton has signed to swim for Missouri State University under Head Coach Dave Collins.

Missouri State won the 14th Missouri Valley Conference Championship in program history last year.

Hannah should have an immediate impact on this team next year.

She currently swims for Flyers Aquatic Swim Team under Coaches Morgan Dodge and Jim Halliburton. She has been at NCSAs against the best swimmers in the country.

She had five personal best times at Speedo Sectionals last summer and was a 4-time ISCA Junior National Finalist in March.

She recently had an interview with Swimming World Magazine.

Hannah said, “I am so excited to announce my commitment to Missouri State. Because of the team’s dynamic coaching staff and the college’s academic programs.”

Hannah was inspired by the swimmers in the 2012 Summer Olympics and began at age 13 to prepare for this opportunity.
