Panthers take top honors in tourney

AV Thanksgiving Tournament Winners!

The South Iron Panthers Basketball Team took 1st place in the 92nd Annual Thanksgiving Tournament with overwhelming wins over Bismarck 94-35, Fredericktown 79-47, and Lesterville 82-44. Presenting the 1st place trophy is Arcadia Valley Fall Festival Queen and Junior Emma Nelson. The coaches are (not in order) Head Coach Dusty Dinkins and Assistant Coaches Jared Middleton, Delbert Jackson, and Jason McMurry. The players not in order are Albert Gaffney, Dalton Roark, Luke Lunyou, Jermarco Burse, Blake Crayton, Brock Wakefield, Champ McMurry, D. J. Drator, Drenin Dinkins, and Austin Ruble.  

The South Iron Panthers beat the Lesterville Bearcats 82-44 to take 1st place in the 92nd Annual Arcadia Valley Thanksgiving Tournament. 

An Annapolis or South Iron basketball team has won the Thanksgiving Tournament 22 times. 

The team with the 2nd most wins is Ironton/Arcadia Valley with 16. 

Drenin Dinkins led the Panthers with 26 points, Brock Wakefield had 15, D. J. Prater had 14, Austin Ruble had 8, and Jermarco Burse had 7. James Gipson led the Bearcats with 14 points, Riley Mathes and Brendan Myers had 9 each, and Holdan Laughman had 7.

The Fredericktown Blackcats beat the Ellington Whippets 62-47 to take 3rd place in the Arcadia Valley Thanksgiving Tournament.

Logan Winkelman led the Blackcats with 18 points, Colton Rehkop had 15, Seth Miller had 14, Nate Miller had 11, and Dylan St. Clair had 7.Kyle Conkright led the Whippets with 19 points, Austin Grimes and Brycen King had 10 each, and Will Copeland had 8.

The West County Bulldogs beat the Arcadia Valley Tigers 57-54 to take 5th place in the Arcadia Valley Thanksgiving Tournament. 

Ryan Retzer led the Bulldogs with 18 points, Hayden Roney had 14, Dake McRaven had 8, and Tayton Hampton had 5. Roney had 14 rebounds.

Carter Brogan led the Tigers in scoring. Daniel Horn led them in rebounds. Logan Pannebecker led them in assists. Carter Brogan led the Tigers with 22 points, 7 rebounds, and 5 steals. Daniel Horn had 15 points, 14 rebounds, and 4 steals. Taylon Jones had 12 points and 7 rebounds. Logan Pannebecker had 5 points, 2 rebounds, 5 assists, and 3 steals. Luke Savage had 3 assists and 3 steals. Corbin Rea had 3 rebounds.
