Wilma M. Burroughs

Wilma M. Burroughs passed away on Tuesday, November 7, 2018 at the Meadowbrook Care Facility in Pilot Knob.  She was 87.

Wilma was born on July 17, 1931 on Goose Creek, the daughter of the late Allen and Alpha (Casey) McNail.

She was united in marriage to Elmer Warner on July 30, 1949 in Annapolis. To this union two children were born.

Elmer preceded her in death on October 8, 1970.

On October 18, 1974, Wilma was united in marriage to Paul Burroughs in Redford. He preceded her in death on August 28, 1997.

Wilma was a graduate of Centerville High School where she later worked as a secretary for the Centerville School District for 41 years.

She was a member of the Reynolds County Fair Board, the Ambulance Board, and the Hospital Board.

Wilma was a wonderful woman loved by many; she was a proud resident and a wonderful addition to the Reynolds County Community.

In her free time, she enjoyed playing bingo, square dancing and helping people. Her greatest love of all was spending time with her family; especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husbands, Wilma was preceded in death by one brother, Bill McNail, and one sister, Melba Jean McNail.

Survivors include one son, Sam Warner and wife Mona of Lesterville; one daughter, Sandy Robinson and husband Lee of Camdenton; one step-daughter, Cynthia Cycyota and husband Tom of Colorado; five grandchildren, Lori Logan, Melissa Robinson, Matthew (Debra) Robinson, Elijah Warner and Ethan Warner; three step-grandchildren, Hank (Megan) Cycyota, Tim Cycyota and TJ Cycyota; six great-grandchildren, Alyssa Robinson, Jackson Logan, Madison Stamm, Russell Stamm, Matt Robinson and Remington Stamm; one step-great-grandchild, Lucy Kay Cycyota; four brothers, Bob McNail of Ellington, David McNail of Farmington, George McNail of Low Hollow, and Steve McNail of Lebanon; three sisters, Jean Morton of Redford, Linda Bailey of Bunker, and Barb Wood of Bunker; along with a host of other relatives and friends left to mourn her passing. Wilma will be deeply missed by all that knew her.

Visitation was held at 4 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 29, 2018 at McSpadden Funeral Home in Lesterville.

Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 30, 2018 in the Funeral Home Chapel in Lesterville with pastor Denny Mathes officiating. Burial followed in the Price Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers please make donations to the Reynolds County Fair.

Pallbearers were Matt Robinson, Elijah Warner, Ethan Warner, Clay McNail, Kenny Wood and Davey Hill.
