Five people slightly injured in accident

Five Patton residents received minor injuries in a on-car accident on Sunday afternoon north of Pilot Knob in Iron County. All were taken by ambulance to Iron County Medical Center for treatment.

Delmar L. Womble, 42, of Patton was driving a 2006 Chevrolet Cobalt northbound on Missouri Route N, four miles north of Pilot Knob when the accident occurred at 1 p.m. on Sunday, February 17 at 1 p.m. A report by the MO Highway Patrol said Womble swerved to the right of the roadway and struck a guard rail.

Womble and four passengers, all from Patton, received minor injuries.  Others injured included Dezarie Clubb, 9; Erin Womble, 10; Misty Womble, 33; and Rose Womble, 4.

All of the passengers were wearing seat belts.



Ironton woman receives minor injuries

Icy road conditions were a contributing factor in a two-car crash that slightly injured an Ironton woman.

The crash occurred at 5:50 p.m. on Saturday, February 16 in St. Francois County, according to a report by the Missouri Highway Patrol.

A 2005 Chevrolet Cobalt, driven by Ahlexia N. Lashley, 17, of Farmington, was headed southbound on MO Route B at MO Highway 221 when it slid through a stop sign due to icy road conditions and struck a 2001 Hyundai Sonata headed south on MO Highway 221 and driven by Jesse W. Campbell, 26, of Ironton.  The front of the Sonata struck the front of the Cobalt, the report stated.

Injured in the accident was Victoria L. Campbell, 21, of Ironton.  She was taken by private conveyance to Parkland Health Center South.
