Three arrested; drugs, cash, weapons found in residence

Weapons, drugs and cash were discovered when officers serve a search warrant at a rural Iron County residence Friday evening (February 8). Three people have been arrested and Iron County Sheriff Roger Medley said he expects more arrests in the ongoing investigation.

Three people were arrested after officers served a search warrant at a rural Iron County residence.

As stated in a written release by Sheriff Roger Medley, the warrant was served at 1295 State Highway D at approximately 8:30 p.m. on Friday, February 8.

The Iron County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by officers of the Mineral Area Drug Task Force, Missouri State Highway Patrol and Missouri State Park Rangers.

“Various types of drug paraphernalia, in excess of five pounds of various types of marijuana, over $10,000 in cash and over 30 weapons were seized,” the release stated. “Three adult individuals were arrested and transported to the Iron County Jail and the remaining juveniles were released to their parents.”

The sheriff declined to release the names of the individuals arrested citing the ongoing investigation.

Additional arrests and criminal charges are anticipated.
