Janice Jackson

Janice Marlene Jackson of Bonne Terre, formerly of Ironton, passed away on Saturday, March 16, 2019. She was 68.

She was born on June 13, 1950 in St. Louis, a daughter of the late William and Patricia Courtway Rulo.

Janice was united in marriage to the love of her life, Dale Jackson, who survives.

To this long and loving relationship six children were born, Willy (Michelle) Jackson of Bismarck, James (Beth) Jackson of Bismarck, Donald “Buck” (Veronica) Jackson of Bismarck, Mike Jackson of Terre Du Lac, Timothy (Sarah) Jackson of Ironton, and Heather Jackson of Ironton, all of whom survive.

Also surviving Janice is one brother, Jimmy Rulo of Wright City; two sisters, Brenda Rulo and Helen Rulo of St. Louis; six stepchildren, Rick Jackson, Steve Jackson, Randy Jackson, Tony Jackson, Trixie Jackson, and Roxanne Collier; 33 grandchildren, David, Caitlin, Justin, Nicholas, Dawson, Zach, Haley, Eric, Chloe, Anna, Christian, Jacob, Evan, Brendan, Hayden, Megan, Mya, Mia, Zane, Taylor, John, Andrew, Destiny, Brittany, Kelsey, Kye, Kinsey, Caitlin, Harper, Brinley, Gregory, Brandon, and Justin; three great-grandchildren, Dayten, MaKenzie, and John; and many other loving family members and friends.

Preceding Janice in death were her parents; six brothers, Bill Rulo, Joe Rulo, Arlen Rulo, Pete Rulo, Mark Rulo, and Don Rulo; one sister, Wilma Rulo; and a stepdaughter, Kathy Jackson.

In addition to raising all of her children and stepchildren, Janice worked many years as a Certified Med Tech and Housekeeper for Belleview Valley Nursing Home. The love and compassion that came with being a mother of so many was also shared with those who needed her love and care when in need. She was the light in the dark for many who depended on her.

A Celebration of Life for Janice was held on Thursday, March 21, 2019 at 1 p.m. from the Cole Family Chapel. Visitation began on Thursday, March 21, 2019 at 11 a.m. Elder Larry Sutton officiated  the funeral services.

Interment was in Odd Fellows Cemetery in Bismarck.
