Caledonia man injured in accident

A Caledonia man received moderate injuries in a one-vehicle accident on Saturday afternoon, May 11.

Devin M. Hawkins, 27, of Caledonia was taken by ambulance to Washington County Memorial Hospital, according to a report by the Missouri Highway Patrol.

Hawkins was driving a 1998 Ford Ranger pickup northbound on Missouri Highway 21 south of John Smith Road in Washington County when the truck began to hydroplane and he overcorrected, causing the truck to travel off the left side of the road and overturn. The accident occurred at 4:27 p.m., the report stated.

Hawkins was not wearing a safety belt, the report stated.

 

Ironton man receives minor injuries

An Ironton man was injured in a one-car accident on Monday, May 6.

Hagen A. Stone, 18, was taken by ambulance to Iron County Medical Center with minor injuries, according to a report by the Missouri Highway Patrol.

The accident occurred at 5:20 a.m. on Missouri Highway 21 at North Main Street in Ironton, the report stated. The accident occurred when Stone fell asleep while driving a 2006 Chevrolet Malibu southbound on Missouri Highway 21, the report stated. He ran off the right side of the road and struck a stop sign, landscaping, a concrete ditch and then overturned.

Stone was not wearing a seat belt, the report stated.

 

Irondale woman injured in accident

An Irondale woman received minor injuries in a one-car accident that occurred in Iron County at 8:35 a.m. on Sunday, May 12. The crash occurred on Missouri Route N just south of the St. Francois County line.

Bridget A. Lovelace, 18, was driving a 2001 Volkswagen Beetle northbound on the roadway when she traveled off the left side of the road, struck a couple of rocks and came to rest on its tires, according to a report by the Missouri Highway Patrol

It is unknown whether or not she was wearing a seat belt.

Lovelace was taken by ambulance to Parkland Medical Center in Farmington.

 

Bunker man injured in accident

A Bunker man received minor injuries in an accident that occurred at 7:25 a.m. on Monday, May 6, in Miller County.

Barry J. Houston, 57, of Bunker, was taken by ambulance to Lake Regional Hospital in Osage Beach.

The accident occurred on Missouri Highway 42, approximately 1979 feet east of Mill Creek Road, according to a report by the Missouri Highway Patrol. William J. Monfort, 74, of Eldon, was driving a 2004 Ford 150 pickup eastbound on the roadway and traveled off the right side of the road to avoid another vehicle stopped in the road.  That vehicle, a 1991 Chevrolet 2500 pickup, driven by Donnie E. Jones, 47, then made a right turn off the road into the path of the Ford, resulting in a collision, the report stated.

Houston was a passenger in the Chevrolet.  All of the people involved in the accident were wearing seat belts, the report stated.
