Willis  Gray

Willis Monroe Gray passed away on Monday, June 17, 2019 at Southbrook Nursing Center in Farmington.  He was 83.

He was born on Jan. 24, 1936 in Vulcan, the son of Pearley Gray and Edith (Martin) Gray.

A resident of Annapolis for many years, Willis worked in timber and sawmills and was a member of the First Baptist Church in Annapolis.

Willis was married to Marvie Rose in 1976 and she passed away on Nov. 2, 2017. Also preceding him in death were his parents, Pearley and Edith Gray.

Survivors include one brother, James Gray of Brunot; two sisters, Aleta Dean of Des Arc and Juanita Siliven of Fredericktown; and many nieces, nephews and other family and friends, including his caretakers, Bill and Joey Major.

Funeral services were held on Friday, June 21, 2019 at the Morrison Chapel in Piedmont with Pastor Dan Pitchers officiating.

Special recorded songs were played for the service and Josh McNeil, Eric Fisk, Richie Howard, Bill Major, Home Lewis, Bill Lee and James Gray served as Pall Bearers.

Interment was in the John Ruble Cemetery under the direction of Morrison Funeral Chapel.
