Florence Louise Brewer

Florence Louise Brewer

Florence Louise Brewer passed away Monday, March 14, 2016 at the Meadowbrook Residential Care Center in Pilot Knob. She was 93.
She was born Oct. 5, 1922 in Iron County, the daughter of Troy and Mary E. (Potts) Eudy.
Florence was married to Lyvean E. Brewer on Jan. 3, 1940 in Iron County and lived in Annapolis for many years. She was a homemaker, a member of the Order of Eastern Star, and a long time member of the Free Spirit General Baptist Church.
Preceding her in death were her parents, Troy and Mae Eudy; her husband, Lyvean “Bean” Brewer; two sons, Freddie and Troy Brewer; four brothers, Everett, Arthur, Melvin and Carl Eudy; and two sisters, Jewell Kelley and Edith LaPlant.
Survivors include four grandchildren, Jerry Brewer and his wife Nancy, Susan Clark and her husband Michael, Jennifer Combs and her husband Clint, Toby Brewer and his wife Theo; as well as several great-grandchildren.

James Howard Hager

James Howard Hager of Pilot Knob passed away March 18, 2016 in Potosi. He was 87.
He was born April 28, 1928 in Jackson, the son of the late William and Lemma (Huffman) Hager.
On Jan. 19, 1957, he was united in marriage to Ruby E. (Nash) Talley, who preceded him in death on Dec. 9, 1998.  James is survived by three children, Gayle Colacicco and husband, Mike, of Fort Montgomery, NY, Charles Hager and wife, Debbie, of Hudson, IL, and William Hager of Festus.  
In addition to his children, James is survived by his companion of 16 years, Helen Yates and the Yates family; his sister, Jackie Becker of Cummings, GA; nine grandchildren, Joe, Michelle, Bill, Patricia, Corey, Jennifer, Melissa, Jason, and Josh; 12 great-grandchildren; and three very special friends, Brandy, Tiara, and Angel; as well as a host of nieces, nephews other relatives, and many, many friends.

Frank Otis Moyle IV

Frank Otis Moyle IV died Thursday, Jan. 21, 2016 at his home in Rolla. He was 46.
Frank is the husband of the former Amy McHenry of Ironton.
The deceased, son of Frank and Patricia Moyle III, was born May 16, 1969 in Columbia, MO. He was a 1986 graduate of Eureka High School and later graduated from St. Louis Community College.
Immediate survivors include his wife, parents, one brother - Chris Moyle, two nephews, a niece, his sister-in-law - Mrs. Mike (Sara) Yates of Ironton, and mother-in-law -  Mrs. Ruth Pautler of Perryville.
Funeral services were conducted on Sunday evening, Jan. 24, 2016 at the Hope Community Outreach Church in Rolla, Pastor James Claypool officiating. The body was cremated.

Frank William Parker

Frank William Parker passed away near Ellington on March 10, 2016. He was 46.
Frank was born on July 17, 1969 in Belleville, IL, the son of Kenny and Linda Charlton Albert.
Frank was of the Baptist faith and he was baptized in Springfield. He enjoyed woodworking and fishing. His greatest joy was spending time with his family, especially his children, whom he dearly loved.

Alfred G. “Big Al” Rothlisberger

Alfred G. Rothlisberger passed away Tuesday, March 1, 2016 in Bartlesville, OK.
Alfred G. “Big Al” Rothlisberger was born March 28, 1942 in Banner, to parents Delmar and Nancy (Bland) Rothlisberger.  
After high school graduation, Al served his country by enlisting in the United States Army.
Al married Mary Hoppock June 25, 1983 in Bartlesville.
Al was an avid hunter, bowler and fisherman.  He also loved watching basketball.  Al was very active in Eastern Heights Baptist Church. He was a children’s Sunday School teacher.  
Al also served the Lord by traveling to St. Louis and Catoosa for Worldchanges and traveled to Bosnia and Canada on mission trips.  
Surviving Al is his wife Mary of the home and his beloved pets Casper and Maggie; sons, Greg and wife Jill Rothlisberger, Billy and wife Deb Hoppock and Kevin Rothlisberger.

Edna Jane (Tracy) Calvert

Edna Jane (Tracy) Calvert

Edna Jane (Tracy) Calvert passed away on Feb. 28, 2016 in Dexter. She was 98.
She was born on Oct. 29, 1922 in Gordonville, the daughter of the late James and Susan (Hurst) Tracy.  
On Feb. 8, 1941, she was united in marriage to J. Russell Calvert, who preceded her in death on Feb. 15, 1988.  To this union three children were born, Tommye Dukes and friend Harry Duncan of Dexter, Kathy Glaskey and husband Tom of Ironton, and Rusty Calvert and wife Tess of Arcadia.
Edna is also survived by four grandchildren, Shannon Burgard, Robin Rickman, Jason Glaskey and Andrea Sept; nine great-grandchildren; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
In addition to her parents and husband, Edna was preceded in death by three brothers, Thomas, Nathan and James Tracy; and five sisters, Ruth Grieshaber, twins Flora and Lora Tracy, Nora Brake, Mary Matan, and Lillian Lollar.

William “Bill” Harold Shy

William “Bill” Harold Shy

William “Bill” Harold Shy, passed away on February 23, 2016 in Saint Louis. He was 75.
He was born on June 2, 1940 in Bonne Terre, the son of the late William Robert and Edna Mae (Hughes) Shy.
On July 13, 1996, he was united in marriage to Dianne Livingston, who survives.  
Bill is survived by his children, Janet Shy of Desloge, Pam Shy of Desloge, Billy Shy of Desloge, Krista Shy of Kansas City, Becky and husband T.C. Craig of Park Hills, Brian and wife Misty Shanks of Ironton, and Crystal and husband Shawn Eudy of Farmington; his brother Jim Shy of Potosi; 17 grandchildren; and five great grandchildren; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
In addition to his parents, Bill is preceded in death by his brothers Dave Shy and Robert Shy.  
A memorial service was held on Saturday, March 5, 2016 at 11 a.m. from Bryson Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation began at 10 a.m.

Gilbert Harold Browning Sr.

Gilbert Harold Browning Sr., formerly of Bismarck, passed away Feb. 26, 2016 in West Frankfort, IL.  He was 85.
He was born Feb. 25, 1931 in Reynolds County, the son of the late Emmett and Bertha (Kent) Browning.
Gilbert is survived by his son, Gilbert Browning, Jr. and wife Dawn of West Frankfort, IL: his stepson, Dickie Duke of Park Hills; two sisters, Nola Fay Dunn of Farmington, and Joyce Roark and husband John of Sullivan; five grandchildren, Danielle, Shannon, Ryan, Kegan, and Megan; three great-grandchildren, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.  
Gilbert was preceded in death by his wife, Geno Browning; his parents; and two brothers, Raymond and Richard Browning.
Gilbert was a member of the First Baptist Church of Iron Mountain. He enjoyed collecting model tractors and cars.

Joseph Robert Laxton

Joseph Robert Laxton

Joseph Robert Laxton passed away on Feb. 21, 2016 in Pilot Knob. He was 34.
He was born on Nov. 11, 1981 in Poplar Bluff, the son of Nelldina Laxton of Pilot Knob and Willard Laxton Jr. of Bismarck.
In addition to his parents, Joseph is survived by two sisters, Jessica Laxton of Bismarck and Jamie Laxton of Poplar Bluff; his niece, Brianna Carter of Bismarck; his nephew  Zade Lee Hodges of Bismarck; his grandpa  Gary Allen and step-grandma Sandy Allen; step-grandpa Leon Forrest; and by his friend Mel Jordan; as well as a host of aunts, uncles, other relatives and many friends.  
Joseph is preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Willard Laxton, Sr.; his paternal grandmother, Evelyn (Stocker) Laxton; his maternal grandmother, Anita Forest; and Uncle Robert Laxton.  
Joseph graduated from Clearwater High School. He will be missed by all who knew him.

Marie Elaine Delph

Marie Elaine Delph of Arcadia passed away Thursday, Feb. 10, 2016 at the Iron County Hospital in Pilot Knob. She was 60.
She was born on Dec. 14, 1955 in St. Louis, daughter of the late Fell and Mary (Warner) Kimbrel. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a brother, Phillip Kimbrel.
Marie was a member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church of Pilot Knob and a retired baker. In her spare time, she enjoyed crafting, cooking, spending time with her family and, of course, baking for them.
